Rs 7.42 lakh liquor seized at Margao railway station

The Railway Protection Force has seized liquor worth Rs 7.42 lakh at the Margao railway station.

Acting on a tip-off received by RPF Inspector Vinod Mishra regarding a huge quantity of foreign-made liquor being illegally transported through Train no. 12780 Goa Express from NZM to Madgaon Railway Station, the RPF personnel checked the train on arrival at Margao.

While checking, the team found 15 boxes containing 360 bottles of liquor loaded as parcel. On further checking, it wasn't observed that this parcel was booked on false declaration of goods. The approx value of seized liquor is Rs 7.42 lakh.

The further legal process is on and the case is under inquiry with RPF Inspector Vinod Kumar Mishra.
