Rumdamol Housing Board witnessed an uproar on Thursday noon after residents claimed that work has resumed on the controversial tower in the village despite objections from the villagers.

While agitated villagers demanded the immediate demolition of the tower, demanding to know how work on the tower could resume when the panchayat had stopped the work in the past, sarpanch Sofia Bi told the media that the panchayat would immediately issue a stop work order to the owner. She assured the villagers that the panchayat would stand by them, but hastened to add that the panchayat would be following legal procedure before razing down the structure. "The panchayat will take the villagers' demands into consideration if they are opposed to the huge structure. However, the panchayat would follow legal procedure before dismantling the tower," the sarpanch added. Panch member Avita Chodankar told the media that work on the mobile tower has resumed despite opposition from the locals, adding that the panchayat should immediately sent a notice to the owner to stop the work immediately.
