A 44-year-old man staying alone in the house ended his life at his residence early Thursday morning.
According to police, Antonio Jose Menezes was a chronic alcoholic and recently he was under alcohol withdrawal state of depression, and neighbours noticed him behaving aggressively.
Police conducted the panchanama and sent the body to the South Goa District Hospital at Margao for further medico legal formalities. Canacona PSI Babu Dessai is conducting investigations.
