Joining of grassroots leaders boosts AAP’s ZP campaign
Aam Aadmi Party leaders inducting new members into the party fold on Saturday.

In a major boost to the Aam Aadmi Party’s grassroots strength in Salcete, Beatris D’Souza from Navelim and former Deputy Sarpanch and two-time panch Louis Oliveiro from Rachol, Raia officially joined AAP on Sunday.
The joining took place in the presence of AAP MLAs Capt Venzy Viegas and Engr Cruz Silva, along with AAP Goa Vice President Engr Roque Mascarenhas.
Speaking at the occasion, AAP Velim MLA Engr Cruz Silva said: “AAP is the fastest growing political party. Today, people from different walks of life are joining AAP. This shows that our pure intentions and commitment to education and healthcare appeal to Goans. AAP, along with the people of Goa, will fight the upcoming ZP elections with full strength against the BJP.”
AAP Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas said: “Governance in Goa has hit rock bottom. People are asked for money to get government jobs. The same government that people elected is now looting them. To bring real change, Goans must unite and fight this corrupt system.”
He added: “When working women like Beatris D’Souza — everyday Goans like you and me — join AAP, it shows the growing faith people have in our party. We are fully geared up to take on the BJP in the ZP elections. We will take our work in Velim and Benaulim before the people and seek their blessings.”
AAP welcomed the new members and said their joining strengthens the party’s presence in Navelim and Raia, further energising the ZP election campaign.
