Public toilets are in bad shape, giving a foul smell along with clogged water.
The Sanguem town hall area, which was built some decades ago for storage and other purposes, has been abandoned for last many years. Presently, the premises have been flooded with water, which flows through public toilets in the premises.
When contacted, SMC Chief Officer Pramod Dessai said it was a temporary arrangement made for street vendors, who will be shifted to new market complex building.
“If the situation of the town hall is in bad condition and is prone to break any epidemic, then I will give directions to the municipal engineer to conduct inspection of the area and measures will be taken to solve the problem,” he said.
