PANAJISanjiv Naik is set to be elected deputy mayor of Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) as he was the only candidate to have filed a nomination to the post on Monday.
Though there is one more day left to file nominations, it is unlikely that any other corporator is expected to file a nomination.
Election to the post is to be held on March 30 and Deputy Mayor Vasant Agashikar has already conveyed his feelings that he did not want to continue in the position. Rohit Monserrate will retain the post of mayor.
