
Shobha Pradeep Padgaonkar, a resident of Salgaon-Bardez and a primary section teacher of Saraswat Vidyalaya, Mapusa, was felicitated on her retirement by Amogh Prabhu Parrikar, treasurer of Saraswat Shikshan Sanstha. She retired from service on January 31, 2026.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Principal Swapnita Nagvekar, primary section supervisor Seema Sinai-Lotlikar, Uma Varerkar, Anagha Apte and Purva Kelkar.
Padgaonkar, who joined Saraswat Vidyalaya on September 15, 1989, holds a BA from St Xavier’s College, Mapusa, and a B.Ed. from Annamalai University. She also completed a Konkani Sanad course and voluntarily taught Konkani for four years. An active participant in educational training programmes, she served as a director of the Saraswat Vidyalaya Credit Society and excelled in women’s sports competitions. She also contributed to cultural activities, acting in television serials, dramas and films.
