Sarpanch of Curtorim village, Rui Menezes, has tendered his resignation from the post with effect from December 1.
In his resignation letter addressed to the Director of Panchayats, Rui said he was resigning as per the promise made by him.
He thanked the Deputy Sarpanch, members, Secretary and staff of the panchayat for their cooperation, support and help during his tenure as the Sarpanch.
When contacted, Rui has confirmed that he has put in his papers after holding the post for around two and a half years.
