For the first time since Goa’s liberation, the Shri Sateri Ajoba Temple in Keri, Sattari, known as the Jagurt Devasthan of Goa, will undergo a transformation. The inauguration of the beautification project was recently held in a traditional manner, with Poriem MLA Deviya Rane and other dignitaries in attendance.

The temple is unique and holds significant recognition. Thousands of devotees from Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra have faith in this temple, contributing to its spiritual importance and reputation. This beautification effort is expected to enhance the temple’s aura and attract even more visitors. After extensive efforts led by Deviya Rane, the project will be funded with approximately Rs 2.99 crores to beautify the temple and its surroundings.

Deviya Rane, along with Zilla Panchayat Member Devyani Gavas, Keri Sarpanch Sagun Wadkar, Panch members, Assistant Engineer of the Public Works Department Brahm Pramod, Junior Engineer Santosh Lad, and Devasthan Committee officials, attended the ceremony.

A Dream Fulfilled

Deviya Rane expressed her joy, saying that increasing the reputation of the temple and creating a positive atmosphere had been her dream since she was elected MLA.

She thanked Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane for supporting the proposal to beautify the temple. She mentioned that the beautification project will improve the temple’s aura and attract more devotees, both locally and internationally, to experience a renewed atmosphere.

The beautification work marks the beginning of a new chapter for the temple and the area, which will soon offer a more welcoming and inspiring environment for all who visit.
