Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that BJP was a big family and a few defections to fulfill the agenda of “greed” and “personal interests” will not derail the BJP’s agenda of good governance and the party will storm to power again.
“Bharatiya Janata Party is a big family that continues to serve the motherland with full devotion! A few defections to fulfill the agenda of greed and personal interests cannot deter our agenda of good governance,” Sawant tweeted, reacting to the resignation of his colleague and BJP MLA from Calangute, Michael Lobo.
He also said that the people of Goa have witnessed the governance and development carried out by the BJP-led government and would re-elect BJP to power in 2022.
“Goan people have seen BJP’s governance and development model for a decade and I am sure that they will give us another term in their service. Jai Hind, Jai Goa,” he said, in another tweet.
Lobo, who has been sulking for the last almost two months, finally tendered his resignation as a minister and MLA on Monday morning. He said BJP was no longer following late Manohar Parrikar’s legacy and all those who were close to Parrikar were ignored.
