PANAJI
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant dashed off to poll bound Madhya Pradesh during the weekend where he campaigned for some of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the naxalite-hit Balaghat district area.
Earlier last week, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane had also hit the campaign trail in Indore where the party has assigned him poll duties.
On Sunday, Sawant posted on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) that he joined the BJP campaign in the Lanji constituency of Balaghat district.
“Joined the campaign for @BJP4MP candidate Shri @RajkumarKarrahe in Lanji constituency in Balaghat. The Double Engine Sarkar in Madhya Pradesh has put the State on the path of development with pro-people, pro-women policies and initiatives,” Sawant wrote.
He added that the people are determined to bring back the ‘Double Engine Sarkar’ and elect Shri Karrahe in Lanji.
A little later, Sawant spent time at the house of a BJP karyakarta.
“Stayed and spent quality time at home of our Karyakarta, the Ramtekkar family at Lanji, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh during the campaign for @BJP4MP candidate Shri. @RajkumarKarrahe. Thankful for their warm hospitality. Had interactions with Karyakartas in the area,” Sawant wrote on his ‘X’ handle.
