MARGAO
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday remarked in a lighter vein that he is not unduly worried if someone comes and eyes his chair.
He did not specify which chair he was referring to but, only said: “I hope you know what I mean.”
Before his address at the valedictory programme at the Developers Summit at the Ravindra Bhavan Margao on Sunday, the Chief Minister made a fervent plea to the professionals to take the seats in the front row after he found them all vacant.
“If you want to come up in life, you have to occupy the seats in front and not be a backbencher. You can start by taking the front seat from this programme and move forward in life,” he said.
Then the Chief Minister pointed out that he used to always take the front seat and think about when he would be able to sit on the stage. After he gave a round of applause after the backbenchers took the front seats, the Chief Minister remarked: “While asking you to come and take the front seats, I will not be worried if tomorrow someone comes and tries to take my seat. I hope you know what I mean.”
