Amid the intensity and suspense of the race for leadership of the new government, Caretaker Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chose to recall that he has completed three years in office on Sunday.
Sawant took to micro-blogging site Twitter to publicise the milestone and thank the people of the State for "continued support".
"Today I completed 3 years in the Office as Chief Minister. Goa has seen great progress and development under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji. In these 3 years, I have focused on human development in the State" Sawant tweeted.
"I would like to thank the people of Goa for their continued support and for reposing their trust in us by giving a decisive mandate in favour of #BJP," he added and posted a picture of him being sworn-in by then Governor the late Mridula Sinha.
Sawant was sworn-in chief minister in 2019 after the death of Manohar Parrikar.
