There seemed no relief to citizens from overflowing sewage in the commercial capital. A day after sewage raised stink on the Margao Station road, sewage water flowed right along the entrance to an establishment near the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, posing nuisance and a health hazard.
In fact, the establishment owner told The Goan on Tuesday that the sewage water has been overflowing right near his entrance since the last 10 days.
Lamenting that the authorities have not initiated any action to plug the sewage flow, the owner said people have been facing a health hazard to members of the public.
“We fail to understand why there is no action from the authorities to an issue of public importance involving the health of citizens. Or are the citizens supposed to resign to their fate with no action forthcoming from the authorities”, the owner questioned.
