"The work on the sewerage system in Ponda has begun last year. We have taken up the construction of sewerage treatment plant at Curti which will cater to a part of Tisk, Santa Cruz, and some part of Khadpabandh. Work on both plants was pending because of NOC from TCP and GSPCB," said Dhavalikar.
"Within one year this plant will be completed. We have got irrevocable power of attorney from the owner and the land acquisition is in progress," he said.
The work of laying sewerage pipeline in Ponda is estimated at a cost of Rs 195.59 crore.
Sixty per cent of the work, which is 48 kms out of 66 kms, is complete.
"The work will restart after the monsoon on October 1. The entire sewerage network in Ponda Constituency will be completed by February 2018," he said.

PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar informed the House that the sewerage network in Ponda constituency will be commissioned within the next one year. Currently the work on laying of sewer network is in progress.
