Shiroda PHC opening on Nov 5
PONDA: The upgraded Dr Sakharam Gude Government Primary Health Services at Karai-Shiroda will be inaugurated on November 5, at 4 pm.
Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar will be present for the function.
Addressing a news conference in the city, Industries Minister and Shiroda MLA Mahadev Naik said it was his priority to upgrade this health service.
“I wanted to give better health services to the people of Shiroda. This centre with 24-bed capacity has been constructed at a cost of Rs 13.50 crore and has eight OPDs with X-ray facility, ultrasound and operation theater,” he said.He also informed that the morgue facility has eight body storage units.
Naik informed that the chief minister, deputy chief minister, South Goa MP, GSIDC chairman and Panaji MLA will be present on the occasion. ZP member Deepak Naik Borkar, Panchwadi Panch Cristev D'Costa, Kapil Borkar, Devraj Talaulikar and BJP Shiroda Block president Suraj Naik were present at the news conference.
