In the wake of his dismissal, the accused plunged into illicit activities and his rap sheet expanded with four cases within the jurisdiction of the Pernem police station, two in Mapusa, and the most recent blemish in Anjuna.
“Land grabbing, extortion, and several other heinous cases have been his modus operandi, during a span of around 20 years, all of which are either under investigation or pending trial,” a senior police officer said.
The 44-year-old is also accused of allegedly raping a Russian woman, who had checked in his hotel at Morjim.
Interestingly, the school dropout tried his hands in politics too. He contested the Mapusa municipal elections and his affidavit claimed he completed Master of Arts from Annamalai University in May 2006.
