According to information available from a source, the deceased girl was travelling with her mother C K Oli and her maternal uncle Vikram Giri on a scooter were riding to Dabolim from Varunapuri.

Describing the accident, the source said, “On reaching near the Dabolim airport road, a speeding Wagon-R Car (GA08 M-4314), driven by 23-year old Premchand Mali from Baina, came from the wrong side and banged straight into the bike, grievously injuring all the three.”

“The speeding car also hit against two more oncoming cars damaging them considerably. The driver was apparently under the influence of alcohol,” the source said.
