Solapur native commits suicide
MAPUSA: A 20-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself at Paliem-Ucassaim, Mapusa police said.
According to the police, the youth, Mahadev Gagtap (20), a resident of Solapur, committed suicide in his room at Paliem.
The youth was working as a carpenter and was staying in a room at Paliem. His cousin was his next door neighbour.
On Thursday morning, his cousin knocked on Gagtap’s door and since there was no response, he peeped through the window only to find the body of his cousin hanging.
Mapusa Police conducted the panchanama and referred the body for post mortem.
