The electricity department will soon start an online system for accepting and processing applications for increase in load, correction in name, correction in an address on power connection bills.
The department has already started an online system for the new power connection, said Power Minister Nilesh Cabral.
The process will add more transparency and there will be a monitoring system to track the pendency of applications, he said.
Cabral also said that from November 16, all applications pertaining to the registration of marriage shall be accepted and processed only through online mode. The fees for registration are also to be paid online.
