South Goa district Congress President Savio D’Silva was quick to point accusing fingers at the Aam Aadmi Party for the extra vote the BJP polled in the election for the post of South Goa Chairperson and vice-Chairperson.
Without naming any political party, he said the people of Goa must have realized by now who is the B Team of the BJP in Goa. Saying that the votes of the Congress-Goa Forward party remained intact, Savio said there is a national party, which have a lone ZP member elected to the South Goa ZIlla panchayat body. Goans should now think who’s the B team of the BJP. The ZP member of the national party have voted for the BJP. This proves that this national party is the B team of the BJP”, he asserted.
Expressing satisfaction over the result of the ZP Chairperson and vice-Chairperson’s election, Savio said the Cong-GPF party unitedly faced the election. The alliance had nine members in the 25 member body and all nine have voted for the alliance-backed candidates”, he said
He said the national party was never with the Congress not just in Goa, but across the country, accusing the party leadership for only attacking the Congress.
While firmly ruling out cross-voting by the Congress-GPF alliance, Savio said this national party, whose member voted for the BJP, is attacking the Congress and not the BJP.
