Special security forces arrive in Chimbel

Two buses of special security forces descended at Chimbel in view of the assembly elections to be held on February 4.

The forces were posted mainly at Indira Nagar locality which has been declared as a sensitive area for St Cruz constituency.

The Indira Nagar locality has about 5,000 voters and the candidates try to woo the voters in many ways, which sometimes leads to skirmishes among supporters of different candidates.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is also visiting the locality on Monday where he will address a public meeting in the evening, and to drum up support for the meeting, AAP volunteers were seen going door-to-door trying to convince the residents that only AAP is capable of changing the face of the locality.

Meanwhile, some candidates in the fray visited the Indira Nagar locality on Sunday and among them was Rudolf Fernandes accompanied by his mother and former MLA Victoria Fernandes, popularly known as Mummy.
