Speeding car crashes into shops and bikes in Vasco

VASCO

A driver escaped unhurt after a taxi rammed into shops and damaged several bikes in Vasco late Thursday night.

Sources said the incident occurred at around 11 pm on an internal road in Vasco opposite the St Andrew’s Church.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in the incident since shops in the usually packed area had closed down.

The car driver is reportedly said to have lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident.

Several bikes, shop shutters, and other structures were damaged in the accident as the car rammed through the area at high speed before coming to a halt.

Vasco Police rushed to the site and were investigating the cause of the accident while the damaged shops and bikes are being assessed for the extent of the damage.

Efforts were underway to clear the area and ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists.

Vasco Police have registered a case and are carrying out further investigation.
