Spice Jet passengers create ruckus after flight delayed

Around 100 passengers of Spice Jet created a ruckus at Dabolim airport on Tuesday after their Pune-Goa-Pune flight was cancelled at the last minute.

According to a source at Dabolim airport, after passing through the security check passengers were informed that the flight, scheduled to take off at around 2 pm, was delayed.   
“At around 6 pm, the passengers were informed that the flight was delayed further and would take off 
by 6.30 pm. Then at 6.30 pm, it was announced that the flight was cancelled,” 
the source said.   
On hearing this, the infuriated passengers caused a ruckus. They were later pacified by airline staff and accommodated in hotels with an assurance that they would be put on a Spice Jet flight early Wednesday morning.   
According to an official at Dabolim airport, the Spice Jet flight was scheduled to arrive from Pune, but 
developed a technical 
snag, which made take off impossible.

Draft coastal zone plan ready, submitted to NGT
