A proposal to notify around 28,000 square meters of private orchid land in Calangute as investment promotion area is on the agenda along with seven other proposals for the cabinet meeting which is to be held today at Chief Minister’s private residence in Dona Paula.
The proposal of the Directorate of Education for enhancing monthly remuneration of 132 Para teachers from Rs 12,000 to 32000 per month for a period of 10 months is also likely to be discussed.
Exemption in registration fees to the tune of Rs 3.61 lakh on land gifted to Diocesan Society of Education, proposal to increase profit margin to fair price shops (FPS) and fix rent of POS devices to FPS, amendment to the scheme of financial incentives to mothers who deliver girl child (MAMTA) are some of important items on the agenda.
Ronil Resort has proposed to Investment Promotion Board to set up an ayurvedic wellness resort with 138 rooms in their orchid land. The IPB had approved this project in 2015. Now there is a proposal to notify this land as investment promotion area. With the approval of the law department now the proposal has come to the cabinet for approval.
