Star Health and Allied Insurance Company settled claims worth over Rs 31 crore across Goa, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg during FY26, an 18% year-on-year increase, as demand for health insurance and healthcare services grows across the region.
The company said the claims covered 66,000 lives, while its gross written premium (GWP) grew 16.5% during the year. Since inception, it has settled claims worth more than Rs 118 crore in Goa and the Konkan region.
Star Health currently provides access to more than 30 network hospitals across the region and has over 3,400 agents and advisors.
The insurer said preventive health check-ups and virtual outpatient consultations recorded significant growth during FY26, while its Talk to Star service helped customers with planned hospitalisation guidance.
Its Value Plus health insurance policy offers coverage of Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh at nearly 20% lower premiums and is available through a network of over 11,000 hospitals across India.
The company said it is focusing on affordable products, wider hospital partnerships and technology-enabled claims servicing to improve healthcare access.
