Goa recorded nine more Covid-relateddeaths on Monday taking the official number of Covid deaths in the state to360.
Shockingly, six of the nine patientspassed away within 24 hours of admission to the hospital. While six of thetotal deaths occurred at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim, threepatients succumbed to the infection at ESI Covid Hospital in Margao.
The total number of active cases inGoa presently stands at 5,667 with 429 recoveries and 324 new Covid positivecases being recorded in the state.
The deceased persons include a 48year-old man from Navelim in Margao, a 50 year-old man from Bicholim, 59year-old woman from Sawantwadi in Maharashtra, a 62 year-old man fromSiolim, a 64 year-old man from Marcel, a 69 year-old man from Palem inBicholim, a 70 year-old man from Saligao, a 71 year-old man from Bicholim and aan 88 year-old man from Guleli in Sattari.
With the exception of one patient withno prior comorbid conditions, eight deceased patients suffered from conditionssuch as diabetes, hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)and Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD).
So far, thetotal confirmed cases in Goa have touched 28,752 of whom 22,726 have recovered.
