Panaji: Stray dog attacks have raised safety concerns along South Goa’s beaches, with three senior citizens, including two foreign nationals, bitten in separate incidents over the past week.
At Mobor Beach, a 60-year-old British man was attacked by a pack of five stray dogs while strolling along the shore this morning. One of the dogs bit his left leg. Lifesavers from Drishti Marine on patrol immediately provided him with first aid.
A day earlier, a 76-year-old Russian woman was bitten by a stray dog while walking on the same beach. She received prompt assistance from on-duty lifesavers, who administered first aid and advised her to seek further medical treatment.
These incidents followed a similar attack at Benaulim beach, where a senior citizen from Karnataka was injured when three stray dogs attacked him at a beach shack.
