Claiming that streetlights in Vasco are illuminated during the day and switched off at the night, State NCP president Jose Philip D'Souza on Monday said the power department should take steps to save electricity.
“It is strange streetlights in Vasco are on during the day and off at the night and I have noticed this for several days now. Initially, I thought there was some error, but I have seen this happen on a regular basis.”
"We have seen how the power is disconnected if bills are not paid in time and how the government has been struggling to offer proper electricity to industries, but electricity is just being wasted in Vasco without a reason. The government must ensure that electricity is not wasted," said D'Souza.
