The villagers opined that there should be more participation of residents in the gram sabhas.
A few locals present for the gram sabha complained that many tourists and locals create nuisance and throw garbage at Taanka Zor and other touristic spots in Rivona area.
The members demanded that the panchayat should take strict action against those littering garbage and creating nuisance like fights after drinking alcohol, etc.
Sarpanch Sarvesh Velip informed the gram sabha members that people who are in need of toilets should inform about it to the panchayat.
As it is an offence to defecate in the open under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Sarpanch Velip requested the locals not to defecate in the open and to keep their surroundings clean.
The panchayat also decided to build protection wall on the banks of Kushavati river at Colamb-Rivona to avoid flooding in the area.
Towards the end of the gram sabha, six villagers said participation of locals in the gram sabhas is important, even as they went on to raise  concerns over the diminishing numbers pf people attending such meetings. All the panchas were present for the gram sabha.
