Submit internal exam marks by April 10, Board tells schools

PANAJI

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has directed all schools and higher secondary schools to submit (upload) internal school assessment marks of Class 10 and 12 for the academic year 2021-22 before April 10.

"All heads of schools are hereby informed to upload internal assessment marks/grades of School Assessment subjects and Sports Merit Marks of SSC/HSSC Examination on the web portal on or before April 10", states a circular issued by the GBSHSE on March 22.

The online feeding of student marks is operational on the www.gbshse.net website.

Following a sharp decline in Covid cases, schools have resumed in physical mode and the GBSHSE’s second terminal exam for Class 10 and 12 is scheduled to begin in physical mode from April 5.

Around 20,594 students will answer the Class 10 exam, while 18,215 students will answer the Class 12 exam.

Meanwhile, Goa Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye stated that SSC students will get an extra 15 minutes for the maths and science papers.

"Students didn't get time to practice. This is only because they are not used to writing long papers. Some students find it difficult. There was a request from the headmaster’s forum. So, we considered it this time," said Shetye.

He informed that this problem had also been faced by students during the first terminal examination.

“But the request to the GBSHSE to grant extra time has come now,” he added.
