MGP Leader and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar has said former Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik’s accusations against the BJP State government had been consistent with his allegations against the government.
Dhavalikar demanded the dissolution of the present government and fresh elections as early as possible.
“I have been opposing the State government’s decision to transfer Sanjivani Sugar Factory land to the home department for the forensic university. Tenders have been allotted at rates much higher than the normal cost of the project,” said Dhavalikar.
“The KTC bus stand of Bicholim work has been allotted for Rs 15.65 crore for a built-up area of 2,134 sq meters. Going by these figures, the construction cost comes to nearly Rs 75,000 per square metre. This is almost double the actual construction cost.”
“The construction cost of a flat with good material never exceeds Rs 25,000 per sq metre,” said Dhavalikar.
He also alleged that the cost to construct the Banastarim Bazaar is almost Rs 45,000 per sq metre.
He said MGP would field candidates for the assembly elections in Pernem, Mandrem, Aldona, Mapusa, Shiroda, Madkai, Ponda, Priol, Bicholim, Mayem, Sanvordem, Curchorem and Dabolim.
“Our party is also in talks with candidates from St Andre, Santa Cruz, Cumbharjua, Sanguem, Sankhali and Vasco. We will organise a Rath Yatra in 12 talukas,” said Dhavalikar.
