Sudin appeals for State-wide lockdown & self-discipline

PANAJI
Pointing out to the grave situation in the State, MGP MLA Sudin Dhavlikar said the Chief Minister should opt for at least a 15-day lockdown, to flatten the Covid curve and control deaths.

“I have been demanding it for the last 22 days and requesting the government not to delay in taking this decision,” stated Dhavalikar and pointed out that the State has been witnessing Municipal elections, rave parties, theatre rehearsals at Ravindra Bhavans, wedding ceremonies and other occasional festivities going on without any control.

“It’s time to wake up and as Bihar shut down on the order of HC, Goa too should declare a complete lockdown. All the rules and regulations are being flouted and it seems the State affairs are going out of control. The officers, State deputy collectors and police are falling short to control the public movements,” said Dhavlikar.

The MGP MLA pointed out issues like shortage of oxygen and absence of a list of Covid positive people with the Panchayats.

Plea to speed up vaccination prog

PANAJI: MGP leader and legislator Sudin Dhavlikar urged government to complete vaccination of above people above 18 years of age, as early as possible.

Dhavlikar said the virus is spreading fast in the state and the number of deaths that are occurring is alarming.

Dhavlikar urged that people to go for voluntary lockdown and avoid visiting public unnecessarily.
