Sudin moots meet with ministers from AP, K’taka, Maharashtra

MARGAO: PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar on Saturday suggested a joint meeting between the concerned Ministers of Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka to bring an end to the fish imbroglio.  

Sudin said he would talk to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai to take the initiative and call for a meeting with their counterparts from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.  

“Goemkars cannot live without fish and without fish, Goans do not enjoy good health. The fish issue needs to be resolved at the earliest. Otherwise, it will cause loss for Goemkars, for the state government as well as the neighbouring states”, he said.  

He said the concerned Ministers from Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh should meet and discuss the issue at the earliest. “I will talk to the Health Minister as well as the TCP Minister to hold a meeting with their counterparts and resolve the issue at the earliest”, he added.
