Sudin says good governance is priority

PORVORIM: Clarifying that his dream was not to be chief minister but to provide good governance and to preserve the cultural identity of Goa, Former PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar said he was instrumental in promoting many projects in Porvorim.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the MGP office at Porvorim, Dhavalikar said the simplification of the Munkar Act would be one of the priorities if the MGP-Shivsena-Goa Suraksha Manch alliance comes to power in the State.

“As PWD minister, I contributed a lot to the development of Porvorim. Projects like construction of water tanks and hotmixing of roads, etc, in Porvorim were approved by my department, said Dhavalikar.

GSM leader Subhash Velingkar stated that BJP had betrayed the trust of the people in connection with the regional languages and added that the 2017 election was to protect the interest of local languages and to preserve Goan culture and identity.
