Panaji: The Directorate of Art and Culture is organising a 7-day 'Summer Festival' from May 2-8, at Sankruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji.
Deputy Director of Art and Culture, Ashok Parab welcomed the participants and experts. He expressed the idea behind the organization of festival and appealed to the participants to make optimum use of these workshops by developing their art skills during the festival period. More than 200 children participated in this festival. The resource persons for the workshops are Pranali Gaunekar and Shaileja Nadgundi for craft, Shivram Anantnarayanan and Janani Anantnarayanan for origami and Abigail Nunes and Navjyoti Naik for cooking. The cooking workshop is being undertaken in collaboration with IFB Goa. Minalis Lobo, Marketing Manager of IFB Goa was also present during the function.
Daulat Hawaldar, IAS Secretary Art and Culture will be chief guest for the concluding function scheduled on May 8 at Multipurpose Hall of Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji.
