Revenue Secretary Sanjay Kumar, who has been appointed as the Electoral Roll officer, on Tuesday gave his piece of advice to the election officials to take abundant precaution while deleting the names of voters from the electoral list and to ensure that names of new voters are included in the rolls without any problem.
The Roll Officer had an interaction with election officials of South Goa at the district Collectorate here on Tuesday morning.
He also had an interaction with the representatives of political parties at the Collectorate.
Sanjay Kumar, who had an interaction with the election officials, right from the deputy Collectors to Mamlatdars and Joint Mamlatdars, in the presence of South Goa district Electoral Officer Ruchika Katyal and Joint Revenue Secretary Paresh Faldesai, said the officials should ensure that names of new voters are included in the list without any difficulty.
He also pointed out that utmost caution should be taken at the time of deletion of existing names from the electoral list.
During interaction with the representatives of the political parties, Kumar sought to know whether they have any issues concerning the ongoing exercise of revision of the electoral roll.
Goa Forward vice-President Durgadas Kamat pointed out that his party has no grievances with the polling officials manning the election branch, South Goa.
The Congress was represented at the interaction by party vice-president Altinho Gomes while Naveen Raikar represented the BJP.
