Chairman of Ravindra bhavan, Margao Rajendra Talak on Thursday refused to accept the “supari” offered by the Kala Raakhan Maand’s activists, saying that he himself is an artists and do not need the supari to protect art and culture.

In fact, the meeting between the activists and Ravindra Bhavan Chairman turned stormy when the former came to meet the Member Secretary.

Kakode demanded to know how come there are no chairs meant for the public in the Chairman’s chamber. Talak retaliated against Kakode by saying that he do not want to talk with persons who were PAs to politicians.

Talak objected to Kakode taking the seat, by saying that the later take the back seat before better sense prevailed after the activists pointed out that the Chairman cannot stop anyone from come to the public office.

The activists drew attention of the Chairman that they had come to meet the Member Secretary, adding that the member secretary has suggested the delegation to call on him since she has no details about the Ravindra Bhavan’s ongoing renovation works.
