The Town and Country Planning department (TCP) has decided to finalise around 34 proposals to convert a total lot of around 2.02 lakh square metres of land (which contains agriculture, green cover and orchard land) to settlement zone in Regional Plan 2021 under section 16 B of TCP act.
The TCP department on Friday published in the gazette the details of the land to be converted. Now, after two months depending on the objections and suggestions received the procedure to convert the lands to settlement will be completed.
The TCP board in its 174th meeting held on 28-04-2021 has considered these proposals and given its recommendations.
The copies of the maps and note containing the proposed changes are available for the purpose of inspection in the office of the Town and Country Planning Department, 2nd Floor, Dempo Towers, Patto Plaza, here, for a period of two months with effect from the date of publication of the notification in the official gazette.
TCP has appealed people to submit objections and suggestions within two months for its consideration under sub-section (2) of Section 13 of the said Act.
There are around three proposals from a firm to convert around 58652 square metres of land in Curca village of Tiswadi taluka.
There is also a proposal from a person to convert around 23848 square metres of land in Chorao village.
A real estate company has submitted a proposal to convert 5672 square metres of land in Curti, Ponda.
A builder in Pernem has applied for conversion of around 1600 square metres of land. The Colva Comunidade has applied for conversion of 73600 square metres.
