Rs 4-L worth liquor seized at Patradevi

The Pernem Excise Department team led by official Amol Harmalkar seized alcohol worth Rs 4,75,036 at Patradevi checkpost on Sunday which was being illegally transported to Gujarat.

The team consisted of Vibhuti Shetye, Devu Raut, Anant Divkar, Kishor Gaonkar, Sujit Narvekar, Anil Gaonkar, and Harish Naik.

A truck carrying Nestle India’s material was on its way to Rajkot, Gujarat, when it was stopped by excise officials at 2.30 am. In total 136 boxes containing Indian liquor were recovered. This is second straight day the excise officials have been able to successfully confiscate illegal alcohol.
