PORVORIM
Stating that teachers mould the character and personality of students and show them the right path, District Governor of Rotary Club Gaurish Dhond said teachers must learn and adopt new techniques of teaching so that they can continue imparting education during a pandemic.
He was speaking at Porvorim at a function organised by Rotary Club of Porvorim to felicitate teachers from schools in Porvorim and nearby areas.
“In a constantly changing world, the system of education is also undergoing a change. The Covid pandemic has shaken the entire world and challenged the education system across the world. This forced educators to shift to an online mode of teaching overnight.”
“Teachers are a guiding force for students and should learn and adopt new techniques of teaching so that they do not face any problems during such pandemics in future.”
Dhond said teachers should first play the role of a parent and then a teacher in a classroom so that they develop a good rapport and relationship with students.
Guest of honour Sitaram Naik said teachers play an important role in the lives of students and need to be felicitated for their hard work.
President of Rotary Club Porvorim Sagar Govekar Secretary Umesh Naik also spoke on the occasion.
