Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Friday said Goa would receive more electric buses from the Centre, adding that a team has been sent to inspect the buses in New Delhi.
“The first set of 25 electric buses will be commissioned in December. Goa will receive 100 buses and a team has been sent to inspect the buses,” said Godinho while addressing a Gandhi Jayanti function at his constituency office in New Vaddem, Vasco.
“Green energy would be preferred and there will be less dependence on petrol and diesel,” he added.
Godinho also said that private bus owners had been meeting the government with their grievances, which were being resolved.
