PANAJI: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited has announced temporary road closures in Central Panaji as part of Phase 3 of ongoing infrastructure development under the Smart City Mission.
As per the press statement, from February 9 to February 28, 2025, key roads in the city will remain closed for essential roadwork, affecting a total stretch of 1,415 meters.
The affected roads are:
General Bernardo Guedes Road (from Geeta Bakery to INOX) “ 535 meters.
MG Road (from UCO Bank to Vinanti Restaurant) “ 380 meters.
Costa Alvares Road (from Alfran Plaza to DB Road Junction) “ 200 meters.
Road from Tom Liquor Shop to DB Road Junction “ 200 meters.
Two internal lanes between Costa Alvares Road “ 100 meters
Furthermore, to minimize inconvenience, IPSCDL has advised alternate routes for commuters. Those using General Bernardo Guedes Road should take Swami Vivekananda Road and MG Road via Don Bosco School to reach DB Road. Similarly, commuters on MG Road are advised to use Swami Vivekananda Road to reach MG Road near Woodland Showroom before proceeding further.
