Three Cortalim roads get facelift

Science and Technology Minister and Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha recently launched works worth Rs 32 lakh in Cortalim.
The works include asphalting of three roads at Vollant and a protection wall to the road at Bondir. The works are expected to be completed within two months.
“When I inspected these roads with the PWD engineers, it was sad to note that these roads have been neglected in the past and the people had to face a lot of inconvenience, especially during the monsoons as these roads are in a bad shape and have become non-motorable,” said Saldanha, while speaking on the occasion.
“I placed these proposals with the PWD Minister and I am happy to see the work on these
roads being done under the BJP government,” Saldanha informed the villagers.
Saldanha thanked the PWD Engineers, assistant engineer Ibrahim and junior engineer Marcus for their support and co-operation in the execution of the works under PWD in the constituency of Cortalim. PWD contractor GP Developers has been awarded the works.
Cortalim-Quelossim Sarpanch Hilario Figueiredo, Panch members Rudolf Gama and Anita Kenkre and the residents of the area were present at the function.
