Three injured in group clashes in Madani Parra; two held

MAPUSA

Three persons were injured in group clashes at Madani in Parra over prior enmity. Mapusa police have arrested two of the six accused in the case.

According to police, a clash between two groups took place on Wednesday at around 2.40 pm.

Abdul Makandar of Guirim filed a police complaint on Thursday evening stating that he was at the site with two friends when six persons attacked the three of them with iron rods and sticks, damaged their cars and mobile phone, and also threatened them with dire consequences.

Abdul Makandar, Sohail Imandaar and Mithun Rathod, all from Guirim, were injured in the incident.

Acting on the police complaint, Mapusa police arrested Dattaram Harmalkar and Kenrick Rodrigues from Saligao, while four others are absconding.

Mapusa PSI Inspector Yashwant Mandrekar is investigating the case.
