The Margao police has arrested a native of Tamil Nadu for being in possession of 1,096 grams of ganja, worth around Rs 1.09 lakh.
The incident occurred on Saturday in the afternoon at Station Road, Malbhat when the police conducted narcotic raid and caught accused person namely Arun Prasath Ganesan, resident of Adiyanuthu, Dindigul Tamil Nadu, for being in illegal possession of dried greenish leafy and flowery substance suspected to be ganja.
The police have attached the ganja under seizure panchanama.
Further investigation to be carried out by PSI Nilesh Shirvoikar of Margao Town Police Station.
