MARGAO
Senior BJP leaders, including Goa desk in-charge, C T Ravi and party organizing secretary Satish Dhond descended in Salcete to convey a clear message to party cadre to gear up for the Assembly polls not only in Fatorda but in the neighbouring Navelim constituency.
Both Ravi and Dhond are believed to have reviewed the ongoing party work in Fatorda and Navelim constituencies at a meeting with the Mandal presidents, booth committee chiefs and the representatives of the party organization at the South Goa district Congress Office on Wednesday.
The duo impressed upon the cadre to leave nothing to chance, but gear up for the Assembly election scheduled for early 2022.
They are believed to have pointed out that the party has good prospects of making a comeback in Fatorda and to open its account in Navelim in the coming election.
Ravi is reported to have pointed out the growing strength of the party in Fatorda as evident by the entyr of Congress leaders belonging to the ST Community in the party fold.
While the party and former two-time MLA Damu Naik has set his eyes to make a comeback in Fatorda, local party leaders from Navelim too have veered to the view that the time has come for the BJP to test the electoral waters after a long time.
A senior leader from Navelim said the address by both Ravi and Dhond has raised hopes that the BJP may descend in the electoral battle in 2022 instead of supporting Independents.
