Tourism day at Curchorem today

CURCHOREM: Dayanand Lala Kendra, Curchorem, in association with Goa Tourism Development Corporation, India Tourism and Department of Art and Culture will celebrate World Tourism Day-2016, at Ravindra Bhavan Curchorem on September 27, at 9.30 am.

All Goa open group dance competition and children's group dance competition will be organised on the occasion.

Curchorem MLA and GTDC chairman Nilesh Cabral will be chief guest at the inaugural function, while CCMC Chairperson Vishvas Sawant, Councillor Balkrishna Hodarkar, Rajendra Sawant and Keshav Naik will be the guests of honour.

QMC votes for Nagar libraryCURCHOREM: Quepem Municipal Council (QMC) on Monday resolved to bring Nagar library in Quepem town. Speaking to The Goan, QMC Chairperson Filu D'Costa said Quepem town is all set to have its own Nagar library in Quepem Commercial Complex building. “This idea of bringing Nagar library was of MLA Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar.
