Truck driver held for assault
MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police on Monday arrested a truck driver from Jharkand for allegedly assaulting a Home Guard while the guard was performing his official duties.
Police inspector, Harish Madkaikar informed that the accused driver Siddeshwar Kumar Yadav was arrested after he allegedly assaulted the Home Guard, Brahmadev K.
The assault took place after the Home Guard stopped Siddeshwar who was driving an overloaded vehicle and was in the process of bringing the vehicle and the driver to the police station.
The Maina-Curtorim police are investigating.
