A truck proceeding to Maharastra rammed into two electric poles near Gauri petrol pump in Porvorim on Monday midnight, disrupting power supply in the area.
Porvorim Police station mentioned that an unladen Maharashtra-registered truck was proceeding towards Maharashtra and on reaching near the Gauri petrol pump, the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed the vehicle on two electric poles, one of which fell on the truck.
The driver, who has been identified as Augustin Lobo, was shifted to the GMC hospital at Bambolim for treatment and was later discharged.
On receiving news of the incident, police informed the Porvorim fire station and a fire tender went to the site to remove the electric pole fallen on the truck.
